Tuesday 10 June 2025 Art & Academic Scholars' Trip After an early pick-up from camping, the academic and art scholars headed by train up to London. They were joined by 5 budding artists from Year 7. First stop was the Victoria & Albert Museum, and here Project Curator, Emma Edwards, guided the scholars around giving stories behind particular exhibits, the highlights being the golden Gloucester Candlestick and the Raphael Cartoons. The scholars were then taken behind the scenes to handle particularly intricate silver, bone and china objects, and hear their providence. In the afternoon, the academic left for the House of Lords for a visit hosted by Lord Butler. They were treated to the Lord's Speaker's ceremony, question time in both the Lords and Commons, the history and stories of Parliament, before enjoying tea on the Riverside Terrace. This was a trip the scholars will remember for many years to come.

Saturday 26 April 2025 Sandroyd Ski Trip to Austria After a break of a few years the school ski trip headed off to Austria at the beginning of April, with a good number of unaccompanied children as well as families from the pre-prep and prep school, ready to enjoy the slopes of the spectacular Ski Amadé region. Children and adults received six days of ski tuition with time to ski as family groups or within their friendship groups and progress was marked by those beginner skiers being able to comfortably take on red runs by the end of the week. Evening entertainment included bowling, tobogganing and shopping; however, the group did not have to venture far from the hotel which included a fabulous pool and spa area- and even a rather chilly lake for those who were brave enough to take the plunge! The week was topped off by an official prize giving where children and adults alike were awarded medals and certificates. The school ski trip was a wonderful way to start the Easter holidays. Thank you to Mr Webster and Mrs Campbell-Hil
