• Saturday 7 March 2026 New activity takes off: Astronomy Society Last Friday we officially unboxed the Astronomy Society's new Skywatcher telescope. As you might expect, it quickly drew a crowd of curious pupils keen to see how it worked. After a bit of assembly, the telescope was soon ready for its first outing on the school grounds.
• Monday 2 February 2026 Polo Success at Oxford Polo Club Congratulations to our polo players at Oxford Polo Club. Tomas competed in the Beginner Tigers division, where his team won all their chukkas to finish in first place. Heidi and Georgina played in the Beginner Lions division, putting in a strong performance to secure third place while competing confidently against tougher opposition. Meanwhile, Issac, Eddie and Munro took part in the Novice Panthers division and were outstanding throughout, winning every chukka to claim first place with some impressive, strong play.
• Friday 16 January 2026 Nicola Tranah - Life & Career in the Royal Ballet We were privileged and honoured to welcome Nicola Tranah to Sandroyd yesterday. Having conducted a coaching session for 4 budding ballet dancers in our Studio, Niccy then preceded to entertain the school with stories and memories from her times as a pupil at the Royal Ballet, a dancer at the Dutch National Ballet, performing a first soloist at the Royal Opera House, and finally a teacher at the Royal Ballet. In conversation and enhanced by video clips, Niccy talked about the famous people she has performed with and in front of, and entertained the audience with stories of when things go wrong. Niccy highlighted the importance of working hard to achieve you goals, and the resilience and reflection required along the way.

• Sunday 30 November 2025 Area Polo Tournament A fantastic day at the Arena Polo Friendly Tournament! Our Sandroyd Unicorns - Oriel, Georgina and Heidi rode with incredible confidence and teamwork, winning all their chukkas and finishing at the top of their division. The Sandroyd Tigers - Munro, Eddie and Isaac faced a tough group but showed real determination, riding brilliantly to secure a well-earned third place. A superb effort from both teams and an exciting warm-up for the Schools Championships in February!

• Monday 24 November 2025 Year 3 Trip to Salisbury Museum Year 3 enjoyed taking part in a Stone Age workshop at Salisbury Museum where they explored objects from the Palaeolithic to the Neolithic periods, and had the opportunity to handle ancient artefacts, including a woolly mammoth's tooth!
