U13As

A blistering hot day saw the U13s bowl first and perform well against a talented batting team. A stoic batting performance followed with Henry and Milo showing some dogged resistance to the opposition bowling. For this both players were awarded Players of the Match.

U10s

The U10As played Port Regis on Saturday, both teams demonstrated good batting and bowling. Port Regis batted first, the Sandroyd boys all bowled with great accuracy and discipline, taking many wickets in the process. The pick of the Sandroyd bowlers were James Carnegie (who bowled a really good line and length which the Port Regis batsmen struggled to score off) and Rufus Bond (who took 3 wickets). In response to Port Regis's total the boys batted well, scoring off the bad balls and trying to rotate the strike as much as possible. Pick of the batsmen was Freddie Marris and Campbell Clarke, who both batted with maturity. Man of the match was Campbell Clarke for a good game with both bat and ball and captained the game well too.
