Science: Salter’s Chemistry Festival

This week Natalie, Sophie, Frank, and James were selected to take part in the Salter’s Festival of Chemistry competition, against twelve other independent schools, which took place in the laboratories at Bath University.  The students were judged on their safety awareness, ability to work as a team, practical skills, the accuracy of their results, and their subsequent conclusions.

The Sandroyd team was one of only two teams that correctly analysed their data and submitted a correct conclusion. It was a very proud moment for them all when they were awarded 1st prize for their accomplishments over the course of the day. A great achievement – well done!

We would like to thank the Salter’s institute and Bath University for organising and hosting such a fantastic event.
