Scholars Trip: Lords

On Monday, the 13 academic and sports scholars headed up to Lord's Cricket Ground, which opened to behind-the-scenes tours for the first time in 15 months. After a delicious lunch on the Lord's Tavern, the pupils were shown around the iconic home of cricket, visiting the world famous Long-Room and Players' Dressing Rooms and balcony, and gaining an understanding of the history of the game and the key players from W G Grace to Viv Richards and Joe Root. The day was an inspiration to all aspiring cricketers
