Recycling: Tim the Turtle

Sandroyd celebrated the 17th annual Recycle Week (21-27 September 2020) by welcoming the giant inflatable Tim the Turtle. The week is designed to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and to thank the UK for continuing to recycle despite the challenges presented by the global Covid-19 pandemic.

As well as visiting the turtle, pupils have watched David Attenborough's latest programme, 'Extinction' and taken part in recycling workshops and discussions.

Tim the Turtle has been kindly donated for the day by Delphis Eco and he is made from recyclable nylon.
