Boarding: Paintballing

Boarding: Paintballing

This weekend was a big one - an 'all-in' weekend, the first of the new term - and a very memorable weekend at that.

We started with an inspirational drumming workshop, hosted by the dynamic Mathew Priest (best known as the drummer for Dodgy, a British pop-rock band) and our own Jonathan Hilton-King.

After an afternoon of sport for all, we then hosted the 2019 Sandroyd LipSync Championships in the evening.

On Sunday the boarders went paintballing, ten pin bowling, swimming, bike riding, spent time in the cricket nets, played tennis, went on walks, climbed trees and shot some clays.

We had roast beef for lunch, and sausages and chips for tea. Sunday was finished off with an enormous treasure hunt throughout the Sandroyd grounds.

Thank you to Skirmish (www.paintballskirmish.co.uk) who hosted over 120 boarders on Sunday.  The paintballing trip was spectacular - the battle was fierce, the sun shone, and the children had a fantastic time.  There were smiles all round (including the staff). Here are a few photos of the paintballing.
