Armistice Day: Remembrance Service

Armistice Day: Remembrance Service

To mark Armistice Day, we all came together as a school (outside and distanced) in front of the flag pole to pay our respects and remember the fallen. We heard the 'Last Post' beautifully played by Indy and 'For the Fallen' read clearly and compassionately by our Head Girl and Head Boy, Eloise and Milo.

Remembrance crosses (which were painted by each pupil in preparation of the day) were placed on the front lawn surrounding the flag pole. A name was written by the children in memory of each and every one of the 134 Old Sandroydians who fell in the First and Second World War.

Thank you to Mr Holbrook and Mrs Innes for organising and making the crosses. It was a poignant and heart felt service.
