Start of the Summer Term

On Thursday we 'opened our doors' to our virtual learning school. This created a very different Start of Term for all Sandroydians. Mr Speers' Start of Term Assembly recognised that over the next few days and weeks, we will all be learning new skills and experiencing new styles of learning.

All of the staff have been working incredibly hard over the holidays to prepare new schemes of work. The exciting 'Engage and Inspire' programme that has been created by the Sandroyd staff focuses on skills and character education, whilst incorporating essential knowledge in the core subjects. All children in the Prep School receive a 1:1 video conference with their mentor every day allowing them to tailor their learning programme to their individual needs and goals.

The main theme of the assembly was kindness which, arguably, is now more important than ever when living and learning in a remote world.
